Gerunds and Infinitives

In English, if you want to follow a verb with another action, you must use a gerund or an infinitive.

Gerunds are the -ing form of a verb, and the infinitives are the to + base form.

Some verbs have different meanings when they are followed by a gerund or an infinitive. Other verbs don’t change their meanings.
